Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation
Rush North Shore introduced the first cardiac rehabilitation program in the north shore 25 years ago. Our cardiac rehabilitation services are designed for patients recovering from heart attacks, angioplasty and bypass surgery. The program is offered in four phases over a period of 12 weeks for both inpatients and outpatients. We focus on decreasing risk factors for heart disease, including lifestyle adjustments through diet, exercise and stress management to help patients recover from a cardiac episode. We offer an environment that creates a spirit of friendship among our long-term patients and staff.

We are very proud to say that when the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) offered its first national certification, our program at Rush North Shore was one of the first in the state to comply with all of the necessary requirements.

For more information on cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, contact us at 847/933-6175.
